Today you will be met at 07h30 by your guide at an arranged meeting spot in the gateway to the Okavango Delta, Maun. We then travel to the Moremi Game Reserve/ Khwai, one of the finest wilderness regions of Botswana which spreads over swamps and arid areas. The following two days will be spent seeking out the abundance of animal and bird life that this Park is famous for, whilst taking in the beautiful sounds and sights of the area. A relaxing mokoro (dug-out canoe) excursion will have you observing the wildlife from the waters of the Khwai River. Our next destination will be Chobe National Park, boasting an incredible variety of stunning landscapes. As you seek out wildlife, you will travel through the more arid area of Savuti where bull elephants are peppered along the plains. Savuti is famous for its predators that include lion, leopard, cheetah and even African wild dog. The Savuti Channel has flowing water once more after being dry for the past thirty years. The arrival of water is transforming the terrain as well as providing a home for various types of species that have previously never been capable of surviving life in the arid region of Savuti. This thrilling event has allowed massive breeding elephant and buffalo herds to pay visits to the region. Embark on thrilling game drives to explore the diverse landscapes and abundant wildlife of Southern Chobe National Park!

You will then make your way north to the sparkling Chobe River, where your game drives will carry you along the River’s edge and you will be able to hear the call of the regal African Fish Eagle. The Chobe River Floodplain is an incredible place in which to game view, its water drawing in massive buffalo, elephant, zebra and other herbivorous herds. Due to the abundance of prey, there will be plenty of predators spotted here. The sunsets in this area are magnificent and provide amazing photographic opportunities. Embark on unforgettable game drives and witness the diverse wildlife of Northern Chobe National Park, including its stunning floodplain teeming with animals.

Frequently Asked Questions

Definitely! Etosha’s salt pan and waterholes create ideal conditions for wildlife viewing. It’s one of Africa’s best parks for spotting game from a vehicle or camp.

Campsite facilities are overall very good facilities through Southern Africa with basic facilities in East Africa. It’s all part of the adventure and it adds to the flavour of the trip. Remote campsites such as; Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Crater and Masai Mara can be more primitive and do not always have hot water. Less remote campsites and accommodations have hot and cold running water, swimming pool, small shop and a bar. A handy tip: always have pocket tissues + baby wipes + hand sanitizer with you.

Yes, group overland tours are popular and range from 7-day circuits to epic multi-country journeys. It’s a great way to experience the highlights of Namibia and beyond.

Absolutely. Overland tours are a fantastic way for solo travelers to meet others and share unforgettable adventures with a friendly, diverse group.

Begin your packing list with essential documents: your valid passport, necessary visas, and comprehensive travel insurance. For your Botswana tour specifically, consider bringing lightweight clothing suitable for fluctuating temperatures, comfortable walking/hiking shoes, flip-flops, insect repellent, sunscreen, a headlamp, and a sleeping bag if camping. Other useful items include a reusable water bottle, personal medications, a quick-dry towel, and a retractable washing line. Given the soft-sided luggage requirement and the emphasis on packing light for overland vehicles, it's wise to consult your travel specialist for tour-specific recommendations, ensuring you bring only essential items.
